Deflorian 1947 is an interior design studio with its own bespoke cabinetry workshop (falegnameria sartoriale) in Val di Fiemme, Trentino. Founded over 75 years ago, the studio combines artisanal woodworking expertise with contemporary design thinking to create tailor-made interiors of the highest quality for private residences, boutique hotels, restaurants and public spaces.
Company story
The Deflorian family has been working with wood in the Val di Fiemme since 1947, when the first workshop opened among the spruce forests that have supplied Stradivarius and the world's finest luthiers for centuries. Today, the third generation leads a full-service interior design studio that takes projects from initial concept through to final installation. Their philosophy — 'Esperienza artigianale e innovazione tecnologica' — reflects a commitment to marrying hand-craftsmanship with cutting-edge CNC technology. Projects span from intimate Alpine apartments to large-scale hotel renovations, each one unique and unrepeatable.

Full hospitality interior redesign for a lakeside hotel. Custom room furniture, reception area and dining room in local spruce and larch, blending Alpine tradition with modern comfort.

Transformation of a historic Munich brewery into an Italian restaurant. Bespoke bar counter, dining furniture and wall panelling in reclaimed oak, designed and manufactured in the Deflorian workshop.
