About
Sattlerei Oberhauser has existed for three generations and is a small family business in Niederrasen, South Tyrol. From simple collar harnesses to elaborate ceremonial harnesses, we make everything to individual wishes and measurements. The collars are filled with rye straw from our own cultivation, the cushions hand-sewn with pure breathable animal hair.
Company story
What began as a small village smithy is today one of the last traditional saddleries in South Tyrol. Three generations have passed on the knowledge of vegetable-tanned cowhide, hand-sewn cushions and the art of collar-making. In the workshop and adjoining showroom in Niederrasen, halters, breast harnesses, riding sets, motorcycle seats and much more are created — all by hand. Fittings are available in brass, nickel-plated brass or stainless steel, embroidery in plastic, leather or genuine quill.
