About
DØRFKIND is a ceramics pottery workshop run by Manuela Hollerbach, located at the village square in Höslwang, Bavaria. The motto: 'Preserve the proven and create a new zeitgeist.' My work is filigree, yet the craftsmanship remains visible — each piece tells its own story through subtle textures and earth-toned glazes.
Company story
What began as a creative escape from the corporate world became a full-time passion. Manuela Hollerbach left her marketing career in Munich to study ceramics, eventually settling in the Chiemgau region of Bavaria. She renovated a former village bakery into her studio and shop, keeping the original bread oven as the centrepiece. DØRFKIND — a play on 'Dorfkind' (village child) — celebrates rural roots with a modern Scandinavian aesthetic. Every piece is thrown, trimmed and glazed by hand in small batches.
